Set to provide a wealth of stimulating discussion generating much food for thought, the Playhouse presents this year’s SAWAF Intergenerational Dialogue session in association with the Democracy Development Programme. Leading role players in both the business and political sectors will participate in the dialogue, including Lebo Mashile (Facilitator), Malika Ndlovu, Dr Sindiwe Magona, Thato Tsautse, Thandiwe January-McLean and Hon. Thandile Babalwa Sunduza.
The topic for discussion is “Having it all – Work and Family life in the 21st century.” The feminist and human rights movements have made great strides in increasing women’s access to the workplace and the recognition of women as valuable contributors to society. At the same time, women are still perceived as primary caregivers to their children, nurturers and supporters for the men in their lives, and faithful and caring children to their parents. The session will explore questions around these issues.
