The Playhouse Company situated in Durban is looking to fill the position of Maintenance Foreman. Key performance areas include:

Job Requirements:

• Trade tested artisan – Either Fitter or Electrician
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience of the job

Other Competencies, Skills and Requirements:

• Strong technical skills.
• Good communication skills.
• Leadership experience essential.
• Project Management (Advantage)

Outputs / Deliverables

Plant reliability:

• Adherence to Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) schedule.
• Provide technical support to team on Planned maintenance and breakdowns.
• Conduct RCA for major breakdowns (> 1hr) and implement improvements.
• Provide technical improvements & solutions as needed for poor performing equipment.

People & Contractor Management:

• Inspect work and sign of Job-cards (External & Internal)
• Ensure personnel adhere to site rules w.r.t Hot work, permits, etc.

Stakeholders:

• Ensure internal customers’ needs are supported – providing feedback and completion of work, attending meetings, etc.
• Engage with external parties as required – spares / technical input / RCA’s.
• Retain the relevant documentation.

Departmental:

• Lead team to deliver great performance – set example via self.
• Coach and mentor team.
• Lead daily workshop meeting at 08h30 and attend the daily departmental meeting.
• Provide relevant documentation to support the SCM process.
