The Playhouse Company in Durban is looking to fill the position of Security/Health and Safety Officer. The key responsibilities will include:

1. Responsibility for all security operations of the company. Security personnel will report to the position whilst policies and procedures are developed and implemented to maintain security standards.

2. Responsibility for health and safety programs and their implementation in the organization, and compliance with health and safety regulations in the workplace.

Skills, Experience, and Qualifications:

· A relevant tertiary qualification in security and health and safety,

· A minimum of 5 years’ work experience in a security/health and safety or similar position,

· Working knowledge of surveillance and emergency response handling, security rules, health and safety hazards and threats, security protocols, and procedures,

· Good working knowledge of cybersecurity threats and prevention,

· In-depth knowledge of environment, health, and safety regulations,

· Working knowledge of MS Office,

· Organizational and Leadership Skills,

· Understanding of budgeting and statistical data analysis,

· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
