The KwaZulu-Natal Philharmonic Orchestra continues its 2026 Winter Symphony Season with two exceptional concerts, bringing world-class musicians and timeless repertoire to the Opera Theatre stage.

Concert 1 – 11 June 2026
Conducted by Daniel Boico, with acclaimed violin soloist Elvin Ganiyev, the programme opens with Beethoven’s dramatic Egmont Overture, followed by Dvořák’s expressive Violin Concerto, Op. 53 in A minor. The evening concludes with Brahms’ powerful Symphony No. 3, Op. 90 in F Major, a masterpiece of depth and lyrical beauty.

Concert 2 – 18 June 2026
Under the baton of Alexandra Arrieche, and featuring celebrated pianist Federico Colli, the second concert begins with a special curtain raiser performed by the KZN Youth Orchestra. The programme includes Schumann’s richly romantic Piano Concerto, Op. 54 in A minor, followed by Mendelssohn’s evocative Symphony No. 3, Op. 56 in A minor (“Scottish”).

Together, these concerts offer an unforgettable journey through some of the most beloved works in the classical canon, performed by one of South Africa’s leading orchestras.
